Every now and again you have a particularly splendid day. Today was one of those for me.
After a rough night (our recovering son -- see blog below -- slept in our bed, which means we didn't so much!), I had the luxury of spending the morning at the spa. This woman, she is GOOD with her hands, I tell you! And then, a delightful lunch of leftovers with the boys after German School, following which I had a flight lesson.
And that, my friends, was fantastic! Slowly but surely am gaining confidence as I grow in my understanding of this foreign language. This day's lesson, my instructor actually suggested a number of lessons after which I might be able to solo! A light at the end of the tunnel! And while we were up, we saw a rainbowish sort of thing, considerably different than what you see on the ground, and truly, a reward.
If if that wasn't enough, a lovely dinner with my honey at a fabulous new restaurant in our 'hood -- really delicious food; fresh and tasty, my favourite combination!
"This is the day that the Lord has made,
let us rejoice and be glad in it!"
And... we were home early enough that I got to tuck in my boys, play a little guitar, and start a book that had been sitting by my bed for weeks already.
