Twins/Triplets - Christmas 2012
Thanks once again
to the generosity of Supperworks Etobicoke, who provided a whole Christmas meal
at half price, and to the
on-going commitment of a family of “strangers” who sends a parcel each year, we
were able to deliver Christmas to Vida, Kofi and their brood of five boys
(11-year-old twins and 7-year-old triplets) this holiday season.
This year too, a friend of local TPOMBA member Karen Melvin got married, and decided -- in lieu of wedding gifts -- to invite guests to make a contribution to the Asuama family's "Christmas Fund". This resulted in enough $ for for groceries and gifts, and also a little extra money left over for mom, who never has any "free money" to spend. She was overwhelmed with the generosity, and threw herself at the stranger's feet when they went in person to deliver the donations!
It's hard to capture a day like this on a cheap little phone camera, even if you can get the kids to stand still long enough to get a photo, but here are a few attempts... feel free to click on any of the images below to get a larger version of the picture.
