Writing Workshop A-la-Smartboard!

This morning, we deconstructed my Thanksgiving weekend paragraph, and learned how one might use a GO to organize one's ideas for writing a paragraph.

Tomorrow perhaps we will talk about how to focus information for writing effectively, i.e. Ms. Teschow's paragraph tried to recount too many details, and therefore the writing was not all that interesting.  Had she chosen instead to zero in on one day's events, and flesh those out with descriptive details, it might make for some more interesting reading.
