While chaos reigns around me, and kinder teachers have begun to take a "gentler" approach to curriculum this final, hot, humid week of school, I am celebrating the fact that my Grade 3s seem to have finally mastered the various procedures I've been drilling into them all year!!
We continue to work on reading, writing and other learning activities, and students are surprisingly focused: Today's reflective end-of-year-paragraphs were detailed and well thought out. Students wrote silently for over half an hour, in 35+ degree temperatures!! Amazing!

When I started grade 3 I was really happy! I am really impressed that how quick I learned new things." Something I enjoyed this year was the Marble Maze. It was fun because we work together and we test it out and its like art but we make it with rools." At first I thought "This is really scary because of the BIG EQAO Test." My greatest accomplishment this year was when I wrote a story 6 pages long all by myself!" Also, something that frustrated me was EQAO because some of the questions were hard." |  Many students filled one or more pages!  Even those of few words wrote considerably more than they had in Sept. |
My first impressions nervous and excited because I thought of doing EQAO, but then I was comferdent because EQAO was a piece of cake!"
